NewsQ2 – 2009 Metal Fabricators and Welding Ltd. would like to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Patricio F. Mendez. On May 4, 2009, the University of Alberta, Faculty of Engineering announced that Dr. Mendez will hold the Weldco / Industry Chair in Welding and Joining. Under the generous leadership of Weldco Companies, Metal Fabricators and Welding Ltd. was pleased to be a part of the establishment of the Chair, along side other industry leaders like Syncrude Canada, Suncor Energy and the Canadian Welding Bureau. The formation of this research chair and centre of excellence will further strengthen the reputation of Alberta as a hub of leading edge manufacturing and demonstrates the importance of strong relationships between industry and the provinces academic institutions. |
